Sue Devitt Eye Intensifier Pencils - Zaire and Pointe-Noire ...

Apr 10, 2012 by

If there’s one thing (makeup-wise) I make sure to put on before heading out anywhere is an eyeliner. Sometimes, when I am not in the mood to dress up my face, I just use an eyeliner pencil and a peachy-pink lippie……that’s all it takes for me to feel put together. So, now that you know eyeliner is a basic must-have for me, I don’t even mind splurging when I find something really good. Today I have one such eyeliner to share with you gals…..Sue Devitt Eye Intensifier Pencil.

Product Description
Intensify your own eye color naturally with Sue’s water resistant eyeliner pencil and its rich shades and velvety formulation that glides on extra smooth for fool-proof application. Ceramide 2, Hyaluronic Filling Spheres and Nylon-12 anti-aging ingredients lock in moisture and expand and contract with facial movements without creasing to create a long-lasting, luminous eye. The Eye Intensifier Pencil can be applied along the base of the eyelid and bottom lash line for an intense smoky look or may be used to create an effortless “quick-eye” with minimal blending for a maximum effect.

So, what made these eye pencils an instant favorite? First off, they have an extremely soft, velvety texture that just glides on eyelids, no tugging. The pencils are richly pigmented with an opaque finish and one swipe is all you need. As with most chubby eye pencils, you won’t get a super thin line but it’s thin enough. And if you are doing a smoky eye, there’s a convenient smudger tip on the other end to make things easy.

The water-resistant formula lasts a good 7 – 8 hours without creasing or smudging despite being so creamy. And it stays put even on the lower lash line without migrating…no raccoon eyes. If you have oily eyelids, the longevity would be much better with an eye primer underneath.

The two shades I tried were - Zaire (plum with just a hint of shimmer) and Pointe-Noire (black). Zaire is such a beautiful easy-to-wear shade that looks fabulous on my brown eyes. I have tried it as an all-over lid color too…..can’t get enough of it! . Pointe-noire is a rich black with no shimmer.

Overall, I really like the Sue Devitt Eye Intensifier Pencils! These are just perfect for an effortless, quick look or to create an intense smoky eye. I do wish these were the retractable types, I am a lazy bones when it comes to sharpening.

Sue Devitt Eye Intensifier Pencils ($22) are available in 13 shades from Ulta and suedevittbeauty.com
