fillupmyheart: Drabble Post #1

Drabble Post #1
G to PG-13; Various Pairings (MiMin, EunHae, YeWook, KyuMin, HaeMin)
All based off prompts. I don't usually write drabbles so go easy on me :)

Thick, Dark And Noticeable
G; MiMin
For Aila <3 (Prompt: Makeup)

'Hold still! How am I supposed to get a firm steady line if you keep wriggling about so much!'

'It's not my fault I'm ticklish,' Zhou Mi whined and jerked around a bit more as Sungmin tried to figure out a way of leaning his weight so only his fingers would be touching Zhou Mi's face. He settled for kneeling beside Zhou Mi and crooking his arm so only his elbow would brush Zhou Mi's shoulder if he really have to.

Unfortunately he did have to and Zhou Mi burst into giggles again, toppling Sungmin into his lap and causing him to drop the eyeliner pencil with a yelp. The older man folded his arms and huffed, 'I give up! At this rate I'm going to give you panda eyes if you don't stop laughing I don't know how the coordi noonas do it.'

Zhou Mi shook his head and picked up the eyeliner pencil, angling it just right. When Sungmin closed his eyes tiredly, he put the pencil to skin and began to draw.

Sungmin started, 'What are you doing?'

Zhou Mi forced him back down with an arm across his chest and continued drawing, humming as he did so. Within a few minutes, he was done and let Sungmin up to look into a mirror.

'And that's how you help somebody put on eyeliner,' Zhou Mi flourished proudly, before faltering at the look that Sungmin was giving him, coupled with the smoky eyes.

'Well then, how about we do it this way?' Sungmin took up the pencil and straddled Zhou Mi, placing his elbows firmly on the man's shoulders and leaning in close to trace the line above his eyes.

The eyeliner was abandoned on the floor within thirty seconds.

I'm As Scared As You Are (But I'll Protect You Anyway)
G; HaeMin
For Alex <3 (Prompt: Watching horror movies)

Sungmin was staring wide eyed at the screen, unable to tear his eyes away from the events unfolding on screen. Donghae took one look and screeched, before he buried his head in the crook of Sungmin's shoulder again. Sungmin winced at the impact before resuming staring wide eyed at the screen.

'Oh my god that girl just bit her mother she's a zombie too!' Sungmin shrieked before thumping frantically on Donghae's back.

Donghae whined and just turned his face further into Sungmin's neck, almost crying as he heard the sounds of people tearing at flesh. 'Why would people watch this?!'

'You guys are embarrassing,' Kyuhyun snorted and crossed his arms at the other end of the couch, put his legs up on the coffee table and turned the volume up.

Donghae all but crawled into Sungmin's lap before he flung a cushion blindly in Kyuhyun's direction. Sungmin bore it for about five minutes more until the zombies started breaking through the barriers before he dumped Donghae on the ground and escaped to his room. He couldn't close the door before Donghae got in and they huddled on the bed together, shaking and shivering respectively.

'It was your idea to watch a zombie movie!' Sungmin hissed.

'I didn't know it was going to be that graphic! Now I'm terrified!'

Sungmin took pity on him and put a comforting arm around him, 'You can sleep with me today okay? I'm not as scared as you are so I'll protect you.'

Donghae nodded sadly.

Ten minutes later, Kyuhyun crashed into the room yelling and the two of them screamed their heads off like little girls.

Kyuhyun caught it all on camera.

Hold On Tight, I'll Only Be Gone For Awhile
G; EunHae, military!Teuk
For Andy <3 (Prompt: Teuk enlisting)

Jungsu stared at the two people currently refusing to budge from the foot of his bed before sighing, ignoring them and continuing to pack. Youngwoon had given him a list of stuff to bring but he was throwing in all his skincare products as well. Jungsu didn't care what the other guys would think, they already know he's an entertainer and he's going to take care of his skin whether they like it or now.

Eunhyuk and Donghae continued sitting on their leader's bed, eyes following every single movement he made, their hands clutching together tightly for comfort, a little too tightly for comfort but at least they were reassured that the other was there.

'Okay,' Jungsu tossed a bottle of hand cream on his bed before settling down to face them. 'What's up?'

Donghae's lip quivered before he threw himself at Jungsu, hugging him tightly and nearly strangling him as he wrapped his arms around his neck. 'I'll miss you.'

Jungsu softened before hugging him back. He knew what his leaving must be doing to Donghae and he wondered if the promise he made to Donghae's father was enough to save him from military service. Probably not, since country comes before family and all that. He stroked his back soothingly, 'You guys can call me anytime okay? I'll pick up. Promise.'

Donghae pressed his face to the old, ratty, familiar shirt that Jungsu was wearing and sniffed a little before nodding.

Eunhyuk was still sitting at the foot of the bed, adam's apple bobbing up and down furiously as he fought to swallow his emotions. They had DJ-ed together for far too long, he had gotten too used to the feeling of always having Jungsu around. Jungsu reached out a hand and he took it shakily, squeezing it hard.

A few months later, when Jungsu picked up the heavy backpack by the door and took one last look around the dorms, Eunhyuk and Donghae were there, right in front, holding tightly onto each other as they squeezed hard to keep from crying, smiling their brightest as they sent Jungsu off. Donghae rested his head on Eunhyuk's shoulder and the older man wrapped a comforting arm around his waist, keeping them strong, holding him upright.

I'll see you in two years.

You Weren't On My Grocery List
G; EunHae
For Nana <3 (Prompt: Meeting in a supermarket)

Hyukjae pushes his cart leisurely and tiredly, picking up a few oranges and cans of soup along the way. He was entirely too lazy to be cooking over complicated food and he stuck to those that he could either heat up or add boiling hot water to, or takeout. Takeout was always good.

He passed the seafood section in a hurry, never having anything to buy there since he had no idea how to clean or kill any of those creatures anyway. He preferred having them served ready to him on a plate, already dead and cooked to perfection. He was in such a rush he bumped into this poor man with his cart and he hurried to apologise.

'I'm so sorry I didn't see you there!'

'That's alright,' the man grinned. 'I'm used to it.'

An odd comment, Hyukjae thought, but then the man bent back down to his position, squatting by the fish tanks where they kept the live produce, watching the fish and the shellfish swim around with wide fascinated eyes. Hyukjae stared for awhile before continuing on, grabbing a few cartons of juice when he passed the refrigerated section. Stopping in his tracks, he realised that he forgot the strawberries and traced his steps back again to the fruits section where he passed the man staring at the fish again.

The wide eyed innocence and interest fascinated Hyukjae and he pondered for awhile before pushing his cart to the side and squatting down next to the man.

'What are you staring at?'

'The fish of course.'

'Why?'

'Cause I want to be like them,' the man said simply.

Hyukjae bit his lip, trying to think of something else to say as he stared at the man's side profile, taking in the big brown eyes that radiated warmth. He stuck out a hand, 'Hi I'm Hyukjae.'

The man cocked his head to the side and studied Hyukjae for awhile before holding out a fist, waiting for Hyukjae to confusedly curl up his hand into a fist too before bumping it with his own. The smile that Hyukjae got was blinding, and the most gorgeous smile he had ever seen. 'I'm Donghae.'

People Like Me, Waiting For People Like You
PG-13; YeWook
For Yuyu <3 (Prompt: YeWook bickering)

Ryeowook tapped his feet as he leaned against the streetlight and waited for his boyfriend to come and meet him for the date that Jongwoon himself had arranged. He was forgetful or well, special, in the sense that he got distracted every time he saw his turtle tank and promptly dropped whatever he was doing at the time. Even if that something included Ryeowook.

When Jongwoon showed up an hour later, Ryeowook was already beyond pissed. He shoved angrily at Jongwoon's arms when the older man tried to hug him, before stepping off the sidewalk, crossing the road and heading home.

'Ryeowook!' Jongwoon made a grab for the man's coat but Ryeowook shrugged him off, hunched his shoulders angrily and walked on.

'Ryeowook!' Jongwoon tried again and got a firm grip on the smaller man's arm, before spinning him around, narrowly avoiding a slap to the cheek. 'What are you doing!'

'What am I doing? What are you doing! I've been waiting for you in the cold for almost two hours Jongwoon! What have you been doing?' Ryeowook pushed at him again. 'I'm sick and tired of waiting for you to remember me, to remember that I'm waiting for you!'

Ryeowook stormed off again, making it about six steps down the pavement before whirling around and staring Jongwoon down. 'Do I not matter?'

'Wh - what?'

'Do I not matter to you, that you can forget that I was even waiting for you?' Ryeowook wasn't shouting now, he was perilously close to tears and Jongwoon felt his own heart break just a little bit. 'This happens just too often Jongwoon, why don't you care?'

Jongwoon stepped forward tentatively, and when Ryeowook started hitting at him weakly, he hugged the man tight and close to him anyway. 'I'm sorry,' he whispered into Ryeowook's hair. 'I'm sorry I'm sorry, I love you.'

'No you don't,' Ryeowook tried to hit him again and Jongwoon almost laughed at his stubbornness. 'Fuck off,' Ryeowook mumbled into his coat in a last ditch effort to summon up more anger, but his hands came up anyway and fisted in Jongwoon's coat, hugging the older man closer to him as well.

No matter how many times Jongwoon made him wait, and no matter how many times he blew up because of it, he knew in the end, Jongwoon would come to him, and he would forgive him.

Because Jongwoon always came in the end.

Domesticity Suits Everyone
G; KyuMin
For Rei <3 (Prompt: Household chores)

Sungmin groaned at the annoying bean of sunshine that got past his blinds and he sat up slowly, holding his aching head. Oh yeah, he gave up on the household appliances and dinner and the chores and just curled up in his bed and prayed for his cool pillow to soothe his throbbing head. It had evidently not worked.

He stumbled to the kitchen dizzily, holding the door frame for support. Kyuhyun rushed to his side, supporting him.

'You okay?' He asked worriedly.

'I'm okay,' Sungmin clutched onto Kyuhyun's forearms for support. 'Why are you home so early?'

'You called me,' Kyuhyun explained as he slowly helped Sungmin to a chair. 'You were moaning about your head hurting so I rushed home. Where are the others?'

'They're all filming, or recording or whatever,' Sungmin waved a dismissive hand. He quirked an eyebrow, 'Are you wearing my pink apron?'

Kyuhyun flushed before fidgeting with the edge of it, 'It was better than wearing Wook's one that says "I'm the Naked Chef around here", besides, no one else is home to see it. Now rest, I'm making you some soup. You have a fever.'

'You're cooking?' Sungmin mumbled tiredly into his arm.

'Heating up. That at least I can do,' Kyuhyun set the soup in a bowl down in the living room before coming back to carry Sungmin into the room, settling him gently against him. 'You've been working too hard lately, now rest,' he said sternly.

Kyuhyun fed Sungmin the hot soup spoon by spoon, blowing on each gently before lifting it to Sungmin's lips.

'It's odd,' Sungmin said when all the soup was done and he was just resting, being lulled to sleep by Kyuhyun's arm stroking soothingly at his sides.

'What is?' Kyuhyun murmured.

'Seeing you all domestic and stuff,' Sungmin's eyes fluttered shut and he managed an 'It's nice,' before falling asleep for real, his breathing evening out.

Kyuhyun wrinkled his nose at him before picking him carefully and carrying him to rest in their room again.

'Don't make me worry about you,' Kyuhyun brushed acrossed the sleeping man's forehead. 'It makes me do things because I just don't want to feel helpless. You know I dusted the whole dorm because I couldn't sit still? Be well Sungmin-ah.'

He curled up next to Sungmin and closed his eyes, praying for the man to be better when he woke up.

Sungmin was better when he woke up two hours later, well enough to slide carefully out of Kyuhyun's embrace and pick up his camera, taking a polaroid of Kyuhyun in his apron. He leaned down and pecked Kyuhyun on the cheek, grinning when he woke up as well.

'So if I pretend to be sick all the time, you'll clean up after yourself more often?'

'Min!'

You're Playing Football And I'm Singing Showtunes
G; YeWook/KyuMin
For Andi <3 (Prompt: KRY being losers in school)

Ryeowook bent Jongwoon's head over the sink and scrubbed furiously at the blue slushie residue in his hair. 'Quick wash out your eyes or it'll sting like crazy later,' Ryeowook whispered urgently and Jongwoon obediently splashed water onto his face.

Kyuhyun growled and put his hands on his hips. And Ryeowook would be afraid of him and that furious expression on his face, if there was not pink slushie residue dripping all over his eyes and shoulders.

'I'm sick of them throwing slushies in our faces when they feel like it,' Kyuhyun yelled. 'Why does being in singing club makes us losers! We're probably going to get famous faster than the idiots on the football team!'

'Keep your voice down,' Jongwoon mumbled into the sink, his voice coming out weird. 'I only have one spare change of clothes in my locker I do not want to be slushied again today.'

'Well it's ridiculous and I'm going to tell them so!' Kyuhyun shook all the pink ice out of his hair, rinsed it a little and stormed out of the bathroom. Ryeowook let Jongwoon up and they both peeked around the bathroom door together, and watched as Kyuhyun marched up to one of the scariest guys on the football team.

'Youngwoon's going to eat him alive,' Ryeowook whispered to Jongwoon.

Jongwoon pressed Ryeowook's face into his shoulder, 'Don't look, and it's alright. We can always do duets instead.'

Kyuhyun barely opened his mouth to say three words before another slushie, green this time, was emptied over him. The football team brushed past him, loudly joking and bumping fists as Kyuhyun stood rooted to the ground, his mouth still open and the sentence still fresh in his mind.

A senior took pity on him and took his hand, leading him to the nearest bathroom and handed him a couple of paper towels. 'Ignore them, they'll grow up soon, or never, but at least we won't see them in the future.'

'Thanks,' Kyuhyun coughed and spat some green slushie material out. 'Wait you're not luring me in here so you can dump another slushie on you are you?'

The senior stuck his nose in the air, 'I wouldn't do that to some poor, helpless student.'

'Oh,' Kyuhyun struggled to reach the back of his head when, to his surprise, the student helped him wash it all out, even rinsing the back of his neck gently and wiping it dry. 'Th - thank you,' he stuttered out.

'You're cute,' the senior smiled and Kyuhyun wondered how he was still standing with the brightness of that smile. 'I'm Sungmin.'

'K - Kyuhyun,' he had the presence of mind to stick out his hand and Sungmin shook it.

'Stick around me Kyuhyun, I think you'll find that people tend not to throw slushies at you that way.'

'Can I stick around you even when they finally stop throwing slushies into my face?' Kyuhyun mentally smacked himself as the sentence left his mouth before his brain could process it.

Sungmin laughed and pinched his cheek gently. 'Keep being this cute and I might let you.'

Ryeowook looked up from where he was currently being squashed into Jongwoon's chest in the bathroom cubicle in which they were hiding from the pair outside. 'Does this mean we won't get slushied anymore?'

Jongwoon winks and pulls him close, 'I don't mind getting slushied everyday if you're going to wash my hair everyday for me.'

'Ew cheesy.'

'You like it.'

'... You're right, I do.'
