70s Makeup Looks » Submit Free Articles

There are a couple of makeup looks and trends that always seems to come back in fashion and the 70 s makeup looks are one of them. We see it season after season on all the greatest fashion week catwalks of New York, London, Paris and Milan. Paris and New York is probably the two fashion weeks that never goes a season without displaying a 70 s makeup look from at least one of the designers.

The great thing about 70 s makeup looks is not only that it?s super flattering, but it is also extremely easy to do! So let?s take a quick look at the products you need:

- Tinted moisturizer or medium coverage liquid foundation
- Liquid concealer
- Bronzer
- Brown eyeliner pencil
- Long Lashes mascara
- Pale pink lipstick or gloss

That?s it! This look is so amazing it can be done with just 6 products! Now let?s check out how to make 70 s makeup looks:

Step one: Apply tinted moisturizer to the whole of the face, or use a medium coverage liquid foundation just in the T-Zone (over the forehead, down the nose and chin) and eye area. This way we get a light coverage that still evens out the skin tone. 70 s makeup looks are very natural, feminine and super fresh so we don?t want to pile on too much and heavy makeup products.

Step two: Apply the liquid concealer under the eyes and on the eyelid, and apply a small amount on the lips to blot them out. We?re going for a pale lip effect here which is typical for any 70 s makeup looks.

Step three: Apply your bronzer along the hairline of the forehead, down to under and slightly on the cheek-bone and along/under the jawline. This will add structure to your face and add color in all the right faces. Try not to use the bronzer on the nose or in the middle of the face at all as this breaks the natural illusion. Then take a smaller brush and use the same bronzer on the eyes! Apply from lashes to the crease and blend well. Apply carefully under the eyes as well. This creates a sultry look that completely harmonizes as we have used the same color in the face.

Step four: Then take your brown eye liner pencil and carefully draw in your eyebrows. Don?t make them strong, but even and slightly bigger than normally is ok for 70 s makeup looks. Now move over to the eyes and apply the pencil along the outer lash line and smudge it slightly with your fingertip. This will give a sleepy effect, which together with the rest of the makeup look comes out as a sexy glare ( a-la Farrah Fawcett of the 70s or Nicole Richie of today)

Step five: One thing that you CAN pile on for 70 s makeup looks is mascara! The longer and fuller the better… But as we no longer are in the 70s, may we suggest that you at least eliminate and clumps or spider lashes?

Step six: The last step of the look is quite important and will take the look into a more retro feel, so you can step this one if you prefer to stay as natural as possible. We have already eliminated color in step two and now you?ll add a pale pink lipstick or gloss, whichever you prefer to seal the deal on this 70 s makeup looks!
