Spring 2012 for Make Up For Ever is the inspiration from the romantic and carefree spirit of the 1970s. The whole collection focuses on eye catching prints and fabrics. Today we will be featuring one of the items from the collection known as La Bohème Aqua Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil in Gypsy.
Gypsy comes in at 1.2g and is for sale at $18.00 at www.sephora.com or Make Up For Ever boutiques. This pencil comes from the eyeliner pencil series Aqua Eyes which features 25 shades to choose from. They are all available at Sephora.
The outside design of this pencil is in a limited edition packaging with an orange colored floral design cap on black. At the end of the pencil you can see a little preview of how the color will look like upon use. Always do remember to put back the cap to preserve the life of the pencil.
This pencil comes waterproof, smudge-proof, and fade-proof as well! If you take a close look you might notice that the color seems like a rich chocolaty brown color almost like a 66% or so chocolate bar from Valrhona. After gliding the color across for a quick swatch I found it to be a pretty matte finish with intense color. It glides smoothly but can still be smudged and blended for a few seconds before it dries to a waterproof line. And after that I tried to rub it under running water, guess what? The line did not budge at all.
Make Up For Evers Aqua Eyes is always made with such high quality formula. The lasting power of this pencil is quite insane. I had this on the whole day without the need of any quick fix. The brown is natural with rich color. It is pigmented as well without the need of shading it around back and forth. Water doesn’t affect this eyeliner not even the least bit.
